Personal data

Breas cares about your personal integrity and strives to at all times protect your personal data in the best possible way. This policy will, among other things, help you to understand what kind of information Breas collects and how it is used. By approving this policy on the Website in connection with a purchase or the provision of personal data you agree to the processing of your personal data as described below.

We will process the personal data that you provide us with or that we collect at our Website by way of cookies for the purpose of administering your purchases and fulfilling our obligations to you as our customer. The personal data that Breas processes is, including but not limited to, your name, e-mail address, age, order history, credit card number, delivery address and telephone number.

We also process your personal identity number, but only on behalf of (or due to requirements from) third party providers of payment and credit card services, such as Paypal and Dibs that need it for credit information. Breas only forwards the personal identity number to its co-operation partner for this purpose and does not use the number within its own business. The number is thus not stored within Breas’ customer database, but is deleted after it has been processed by the forwarding to the third party service provider of payment services.

The data may also be used for identification, direct marketing, customer surveys, newsletters and statistics and they may be used for sending post, SMS and e-mail to you. This may also result in data joining with other registers and that your personal data is transferred to other companies within the Breas group for the purposes described above in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The data may also be joined or shared with our partners, such as advertising agencies for e.g. printing and distribution and third party providers of payment or credit card services. Within the scope described above, your personal data may be transferred to countries outside of EU/EEA. You hereby agree to such transfer.

In order to keep the personal data that we process safe we have several security measures in place. Our employees are under strict instructions to handle all personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

If you have agreed to become a registered customer with Breas we save your personal details for as long as you are a registered customer at Breas. You may, at any time, unregister as a customer.

In accordance with the applicable personal data protection legislation, you are entitled once every calendar year to, free of charge, receive information on which of your personal data is processed by us, regardless of how it has been collected. If you wish to receive such information, you can arrange to do so by making a written request to us.

All customers are at any time entitled to request that its personal data is rectified, blocked or erased.

Breas will only use your personal data for marketing purposes if you have agreed to receive information and offers from us. Your personal data will not be processed for purposes related to direct marketing if you oppose such processing. You are entitled, at any time, to withdraw a given consent for the processing of personal data. Such withdrawal may be limited to only include part of the processing, for example that which is connected to direct marketing.

Cookies on the Website

We use so called cookies on the Website. Cookies are small text files that are saved on your computer and that our web server uses to provide you with access to some of the functions available on the Website.

There are two types of cookies: 1) a saved cookie (permanent cookie) remains on your computer for a determined period of time, 2) a temporary cookie (session cookie) is stored temporarily in the computer’s memory during the time that you are visiting a web page. Session cookies disappear when you close your web browser.

Breas uses cookies to; (i) store any personal settings you may set on the Website, (ii) improve the Website for visitors e.g. by adjusting the Website with regards to the visitor’ wishes, choices and interests, (iii) make sure that the visitor has logged into the Website so that the visitor does not have to log in every time he/she browses a different page, (iv) help you keep track of which articles have been put into your shopping cart, and (v) make sure that you receive advertising which is relevant for you.

By accepting Breas’ General Terms & Conditions or by using the Website, you agree to the processing of cookies as described above. If you do not accept cookies being used, you can turn off cookies in the security settings of your web browser. You can also set your web browser to ask you each time the Website try to place a cookie on your computer. You can also use your web browser to delete previously stored cookies.
